The horrible weather did not deter the children of Cross NS having fun completing our 12 Activities of Fitmas on Thursday.

Witches Walk and Thriller Dance
To finish up the half term with an active event, the children of Cross School completed a witches walk around the yard and a participated in a whole school thriller dance lead by the active committee.
Swimming
Well done to the children from 2nd to 6th classes who completed 7 weeks of swimming lessons with Kells swimming pool. Each child received a certificate for their efforts.

Cuchulainn’s Ladies Team
The Cuchulainn's ladies football team came into school today to share their big win with the children of Cross. We wish you all the best in your up coming Ulster game.
Athletics
Evija from Cavan Sports Partnership has been coming to our school on a Tuesday morning for the last 4 weeks to complete some Athletic lessons with 3rd to 6th classes. The children have enjoyed learning some new skills and games.
Girls Football Team
Well done to our girls team who reached the final of the Cumann na Bunscoil competition 2023. The played their hearts out on the day to be defeated by only 1 point. Hard luck girls.
