Since September, the children in First and Second class  have been enjoying lots of fun, hands-on learning experiences! In Maths, they’ve loved exploring numbers through interactive activities that make learning so exciting. In Science, we discovered the human skeleton, and the children had a fantastic time creating  skeletons out of play-doh – they did such a wonderful job!

For Halloween, our celebrations were a big hit! The children dressed up as their favourite characters and had a great time dipping apples in chocolate for a spooky treat.

December has been a very busy month as we prepared for our carol service, filling the school with festive cheer. Each day brought a special surprise or treat as we opened our advent calendar, adding to the excitement of the season. The smiles and laughter say it all – learning has been fun, festive, and full of joy!

We had such an exciting afternoon at the School Raffle yesterday and the children really rose to the occasion by picking out the prizes for each winner from the hat and  adding the drum rolls for effect.
The list of winners and prizes are attached below and prizes will be distributed over the coming days.
A huge thank you to the PA for organising this, our wonderful and amazing sponsors for donating the prizes and thanks also to each and every one of you for supporting this so generously.
The incredible sum of  €4,025 was raised. This illustrates what an amazing school and extended community we have here in Cross !

On Friday 4th October and Saturday 5th October the children of Cross School celebrated the return of St. Killian's Relic to the parish of Mullagh.  The children went to Mullagh school and enjoy a variety of activities from hurling to a shadow puppet show telling the life story of St. Killian.  On Saturday the children provided a Guard of Honour to welcome the Relics to Cross church.  Thank you to Fr. Paul  and the parishioner's of Mullagh for these fun packed activities.
