Emma, our Drama teacher is back again and this year during the 8 week block, the children are bringing  'Willy Wonka' to life. The classes are enjoying all the singing, dancing and acting. It really is amazing to watch each and every one shine. At the end of the Drama Course, we will invite any parents who are free on the final Wednesday afternoon to come in to watch the play. This will not be a well rehearsed or fine tuned show. Instead we will  celebrate and show case what the children have learned during the process.  Dates and times to follow!!!

Congratulations to the 5th and 6th class boys for a terrific performance in the semi final on Tuesday the 6th of November.

Camogie girls also took part in Cumann na mbunscoil Blitz in Bunnoe on Tuesday the 17th of October. The girls had a great game and improved steadily throughout all their games. Both the referee and spectators commented on the hard work, attitude and the great team spirit among the girls.

Our new playground
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Siobhan Doughty and her diligent team for securing the Clár grant and then planning and implementing the yard works. A fabulous playground with football and basket ball court, running track, hopscotch, snakes and ladders and target game will be created.
Sadly the money allocated will not be enough to complete the project so we will be calling on the parents of Cross N.S. to support our cause as we fund raise to make up the shortfall.

Infants-2nd: Football for 5 Wednesdays beginning September 4th
2nd-6th: Swimming for 8 Mondays beginning September 17th
