A big well done to the U10 and U14 Draughts teams who both came second place in the Ulster competition. A fantastic achievement in their first year entering. Thank you to coaches Lisa Nolan and James Mc Kenna.

Since September, the children in First and Second class have been enjoying lots of fun, hands-on learning experiences! In Maths, they’ve loved exploring numbers through interactive activities that make learning so exciting. In Science, we discovered the human skeleton, and the children had a fantastic time creating skeletons out of play-doh – they did such a wonderful job!
For Halloween, our celebrations were a big hit! The children dressed up as their favourite characters and had a great time dipping apples in chocolate for a spooky treat.
December has been a very busy month as we prepared for our carol service, filling the school with festive cheer. Each day brought a special surprise or treat as we opened our advent calendar, adding to the excitement of the season. The smiles and laughter say it all – learning has been fun, festive, and full of joy!

1st and 2nd class had great fun investigating extreme forms of weather (tornadoes and earthquakes) during stem week.

A sincere and heart felt thank you to everyone that bought raffle tickets or sponsored prizes at the Christmas Show. We used the proceeds to buy much needed library books and resources. We also purchased lots of Maths equipment to enable us to make our numeracy lessons more interactive and interesting. A huge thank you from the pupils and staff of Cross N.S.

Congratulations to the First Holy Communion class 2024
We had a fun packed assembly for Seachtain na Gaeilge on Friday 15th March. Each class contributed to this assembly with some individuals sharing musical instruments and dancing. Well done to all involved.
